Role:

The Power Platform Support Engineer is a critical member of the platform team, providing Level 2 and Level 3 support to platform customers. This person combines Microsoft Power Platform technical skills with business knowledge to address support tickets and provide troubleshooting support to citizen developers. This person consults with other Platform Engineers to solve requests and attends regular team meetings to stay up to date with best practices and platform strategy.

  • A professional skilled in Power Platform solution design and development in order to support business needs.

  • Act as the second tier of support for incoming requests from the business; is able to learn and utilize platform tools such as reports, administrative portals, and ticketing systems.

  • Act as the liaison between requesters and the platform team to escalate the needs of the business as necessary.

  • Highly trainable; able to learn from the platform team & recommend the right combination of tools for citizen developers

  • Work in an agile environment and be responsive to changes in platform features.

  • Willing and able to work as part of a global team.

Key Responsibilities

Incident Management

  • Responsible for triage & driving incident resolution with full ownership for designated customer groups.​

  • Monitor and communicate incident impacts and trends related to assigned customer groups.​

  • Assist and collaborate with teams in problem and major incident management activities specifically identification, research, and initial vendor contact.​

Operations Management

  • Facilitate and process service requests and participate in project planning and coordination for assigned customer groups.​

  • Participate in testing of new technologies for impact analysis and transition to ongoing operations.​

  • Manage individual capacity and balance time between operations and initiatives, meeting expectations for ongoing resourcing processes.​

Key Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in solution development using Microsoft Power Platform

  • Power Apps and Power Automate experience required

  • Power Automate Desktop experience preferred

  • PowerBI experience preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to discuss technical considerations with business stakeholders, using outcome-oriented language to communicate requirements and make suggestions.

  • Recent experience working in life sciences preferred

  • Recent experience working within global teams preferred
