About the role:

The Manufacturing Trainer, IG Filling position develops trainees into qualified associates following company procedures. The trainer role will implement production activities in addition to other facility production training support. You will have a technical and administrative competence to organize and lead production activities, including demonstrating leadership in cGMP compliance, and environmental health and safety skills. You will report to a Manager, Manufacturing IG Filling at our Social Circle, GA location.

How you will contribute:

  • Provide on the job training and assisting with e-learning requirements.

  • Analyze training needs, monitor training compliance

  • Provide constructive feedback to associates.

  • Perform hands-on execution of manufacturing operations to support production schedule.

  • Identify training gaps and develop a strategy to close them.

  • Anticipate problems or opportunities and implement proactive solutions.

  • May write or revise SOP’s, Job Aids, Knowledge Assessment and Skills Assessments.

  • Help author SOPs, Job aids, and Structured on the Job Training (SOJT) associated to manufacturing processes.

  • Assist others with SOJT and E-Learning requirements.

  • Manage training interventions designed to solve specific training problems for either individuals or groups (Investigations, CAPA, Protocols)

  • May develop specific training programs to help associates learn sustain and improve their job skills.

  • Help implement continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Contribute to a culture of safety first in compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) through all manufacturing associates and production engineers. Understand Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) packets.

  • Train and explain process to others and ensure execution of processes in production while strictly observing cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations which could apply.

What You Bring to Takeda:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred along with 5 years experience in a filling department or environment.

  • Experience in a regulated environment desirable.

  • Must have a working knowledge of GxP and training principles.

Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies

  • Can read and follow detailed written/electronic instructions, have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate in English.

  • Understanding of supplier/customer process streams and interdependencies, and be able to work on teams.

  • Must have customer services and leadership attitude to take ownership of any maintenance related problem.

  • Can read and follow detailed written instructions.

  • Be able to work in an efficient manner, within in a team environment offer coaching to other Team members.

  • May require immunization before performing work within the manufacturing area.

  • Must demonstrate importance of working in a regulated environment.

  • Must have the knowledge and ability to use a personal computer, electronic mail systems and navigate and conduct searches on the intranet.

Other Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Will work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Will follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.

  • May work or be assigned to shifts as needed.

  • Will work weekends or overtime as required.

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. You may:

  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and other clean room garments daily. This may include safety shoes, safety glasses, aprons, face shields, lab coats, full body gowns, hair nets and gloves and hearing protection.

  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

  • Work in a cold, wet environment.

  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.

  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$26.92 - $42.31

The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
