Job Description

Job Title: Global Agile Lead SM&O

Location: Zurich, Switzerland

About the role:

As a Global Agile Lead SM&O, you will lead global programs using lean six sigma (AGILE) across the SM&O OpU and partnering with site and global tasks to plan, manage and implement projects delivering solutions that deliver value consistent with the strategy set by the OpU. You will also partner with OpU resources as well a Global functions (such as SBE, DD&T etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and prioritize projects. You will support the strategy, development and execution of the CI program across the SM&O OpU. You will work directly with the Head of Transformation and BE to ensure AGILE program goals are met. You will report to the Business Excellence and Transformation Head -Small Molecules OpU.

How you will contribute:

  • Lead teams globally through the implementation of new technologies and transformations/workshops through AGILE framework.

  • Lead the prioritization and scoping of projects to produce the greatest value for the function.

  • Work cross functionally with Procurement and GMS Finance to develop financial plans to support project prioritization and implementation.

  • Progress activities to completion from strategy to tactical implementation.

  • Communicate progress, issues and barriers to local AGILE Main teams.

  • Leverage best practices across the network and promote sharing across regions and with local Change Agents.

  • Guide and help define vision for AGILE across the OpU.

  • Responsible for AGILE Program (all work streams) facilitation within the function.

  • Lead process mapping and analysis exercises across the OpU and with partnering functions to identify areas of opportunity and prioritize projects with the highest value and effect to the OpU.

  • Assist the leadership team in directing the necessary resources to the AGILE transformation.

  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and bringing forward innovative solutions.

  • Desire to continuously learn and work with unfamiliar processes and teams, in order to educate and instill behaviors, and monitor adoption across the OpU and Regions.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor degree required, in health science, engineering, or business would be ideal.

  • MBA/Masters degree would be ideal.

  • Minimum of 8 years in a regulated industry, operations experience desirable

  • Minimum of 5 years in a Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma role or equivalent position

  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience and/or independent project leadership experience.

  • A critical role model with mindset and behavior in the transformation, must exhibit the culture of continuous improvement while, teaching and mentoring on a global scale.

  • Familiarity with Operational Excellence & End-to-End business process management cSM&Oepts.

  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum Methodology and software development lifecycle.

  • Budget planning and management experience.

  • Good understanding of drug development and NDA process, production processes and technologies, cGMP regulations, and pharmaceutical outsourcing.

  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements for most aspects of an NDA, sNDA, annual reports.

  • Proficient in application of project management skills and techniques.

  • Proficient in presentation tools and techniques.

  • Travel to various meetings or client sites, including overnight trips. International travel may be required.

  • Requires approximately 20% travel.
